On Sunday, a lovely lady from our church brought me some bright, plump Meyer Lemons, some homemade pomegranate jam, and this darling little jam jar. Food gifts inspire me.
When you invert these pudding cakes onto the plate, they’re just stunning, with the pudding layer on top and the light, meringue-like layer on the bottom. Spoon just a smidge of homemade jam on top and this dessert just shines. Light and refreshing and tart. It does take a little bit of work, so save it for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day or when you have company.
