This is my incredible friend, Kim Sunée. I am giving away two SIGNED pre-release copies of her brand new, gorgeous cookbook, A Mouthful of Stars (which releases on May, 6, 2014, Andrews McMeel Publishing).

First some unabashed gushing about the author — Kim Sunée’s first book, Trail of Crumbs: Love, Hunger, and the Search for Home was a national bestseller. She ate and lived in Europe for ten years before working as a food editor for Southern Living magazine and Cottage Living magazine. Sunée has appeared several times as a guest judge on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America and has collaborated on several cookbooks. She is currently a food columnist for Alaska Dispatch.
It is an honor to get to call her a friend, a colleague, and a mentor… and, if I’m being honest, those few small words fail to capture it. It’s one of those rare friendships that sneaks up on you and takes you completely by surprise; I feel profoundly unworthy of it. I have eaten at her table, stayed as a guest in her home, and we have poured out our hearts – about life, family, celebrating and mourning, food writing, and belonging – over frothy cups of strong coffee and plates of memorable, soul-satisfying food.
