Nutella Yogurt Fruit Dip

I can hardly believe that the Olympics are almost over and the school year begins here in ten days. I’ve been taking inventory of the kids’ closets and school supplies and am making mental checklists. I’m thinking about things like sack lunches and after school snacks. I love the first day of school – the anticipation, the newness, the routine.

Nutella Yogurt Fruit Dip

This recipe is a fantastic and absurdly easy after school treat. Cut up some fresh fruit – strawberries, bananas, and apples are the first that come to mind (and perhaps some crackers like graham or Ritz or even pretzels… I’m getting more inspiration as I type!) – and serve them alongside this yummy, cold, chocolatey dip. The yogurt and Nutella together almost have a pudding-like texture. It tastes much more indulgent than it really is.

Nutella Yogurt Fruit Dip

This mixes up in no time and the kids will devour it. Or perhaps you’d rather just hide in the closet with this dip and keep it from the kids? I wouldn’t blame you. This would also be terrific to take to a get-together or party. There are tons of options for this easy dip. It’s sure to become a favorite.

Nutella Yogurt Fruit Dip

Yield: 8-10 servings

Ingredients

  • 1c greek yogurt
  • 1/2c Nutella

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, stir yogurt and Nutella together until smooth. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with sliced fruit or refrigerate until ready to serve. *Dip does thicken when refrigerated.

Notes

*I made this with the whole 1/2c Nutella, but I suspect that you could easily get away with 1/3c sweetness-wise. Next time, I will start with 1/3c and add more Nutella if needed for sweetness/flavor.

Yes plain Greek yogurt. :) I may just have to ship you some Biscoff!

I'm assuming you use plain Greek yogurt and not vanilla. This sounds yummy! BTW, I look for Biscoff every tine I go to Wal-Mart but still can't find it here in Anchorage. That's so funny you can find it out in the Valley!!
